A tranquil oasis in Paradise This was our second holiday at the Waterfront. Last year we had a lodge, which we thoroughly enjoyed, but this year, as I have several health issues, we stayed at one of the chalets. We found this to be perfect- no stairs to scale at night & everything on one level. The chalet seemed just as big as the lodge & didn’t feel at all cramped. The living area is light & spacious with large windows & doors opening onto the patio area, overlooking the Loch and complete with a hot tub which is checked daily. The bedrooms were slightly smaller than the lodge’s, but just as well equipped & there are 3 bathrooms in the chalet. The kitchen has a dishwasher & coffee maker- complete with a supply of dishwasher tabs & coffee & is very well equipped indeed. It is a delightful setting and if you seek a peaceful break in 5* surroundings , look no further . We hope to return again next year.

Absolutely fantastic break, lodge was cleaned perfectly and was very comfortable and cosy. Only downside was that we checked in and had only a few hours to settle and realise what we needed. Unfortunately the office was closed by the time we realised we needed a stair gate, and wasnt open on the Sunday. Was a small issue. Plenty of amenities, tea, coffee, soap, milk dishwasher tablets etc. Was lovely not to worry about being short on items. Hot tub was divine. Will definitely be back!

We have stayed at many lodges and Airbnb’s all over the uk and for the price, this one beats them all. The lodge was spotless, very spacious, beds are huge and very comfortable, water pressure in shower for it being a lodge was amazing, hot tub runs all day so can jump in and out whenever you want, a wee welcome pack for our dog with treats, bowls and a towel was a nice touch, a fully functional kitchen with more utensils than I have in my own house. On top of all of this in the lodge, the grounds are beautiful with a beach attached to the property and a nice short walk down to the waterfront. We sat and watched a pair of herons and a flock of about 50 geese just off the beach during sunset as you can see from our photos it was beautiful. The whole property is secured at night time with a gate code needed to get out, so if your dog slips its collar at least you know it’s unable to run out to the main road. All in all what an amazing time we had and we will definitely be back. Thank you again, From Liam, Ryleigh & Luna

My family (with my wife and our 3 kids) recently had a fantastic stay here. The most striking features are the incredible tranquillity, the stunning view of the lake with surrounding mountains and forests, the lovely view of the Conic Hill on the background, and absence of crowds. We stayed in Mellerstain lodge which is just right at the entrance of Loch Lomond Waterfront site. Although the house is not new, it is pretty clean and well-maintained, and filled with all the necessary stuff for a family of five, and it made us really feel at home. This area is not crowded compared with other attraction sites around the Loch Lomond such as Luss, Tarbet or Balloch where there are so much crowds that you can't enjoy the nature. But here are so many things about peace and quietness. The shore is right at the back of the site and there is like a private shore for this lodge, and so there is no one else apart from the people staying at the lodges. It was so quite, peaceful and tranquil. We had so peaceful walks at the shore every morning, listening all the birds' chirpings. The surrounding was so quite that we could even hear the birds from the islands. At night, we had fantastic star-gazing because there was no light pollution, it was the clearest sky I have ever seen for star-gazing. (We were lucky enough to have an unbelievably good weather though.) The view of Conic Hill was amazing on the background of the lodges. If we weren't with the kids, we would do hiking to the top of this Hill (it was so close to the lodges). The lodge is also close to Balloch where we went for water sports. Again it is quite close to the beautiful Balmaha village. The only thing is the phone reception is not great in this area, and the Wi-Fi is not very good. Although it is not the most important thing for a holiday, there are times when the kids want to play games and it was not great. This is one thing the owner can improve. All in all, it was one of the best family holidays we have ever had. We will come back again in the future. 100% recommended.

Loch Lomond Waterfront is absolutely beautiful! We got married there in 2017 and came back this past July with our kids. The lodges are lovely, clean, and well stocked. The location is stunning. The serene property and beautiful accommodations offer a beautiful escape from every day life.

We had a 2 night November break here. The lodge was lovely and warm and thankfully loads of space to hang up wet clothes as we arrived in a yellow weather warning hot tub was hot and rain provided the cool down in between. Our 2 dogs loved all the walks both by the loch and across the road in the woods. Pubs, cafe in walking distance

We were thrilled to stay in one of the Shepherd huts Goose Hut 3. Although they appear compact from the outside, we were amazed with the thoughtful decor within and everything we could want on the inside. The shower room at one end was well equipped, with lovely soft towels. The bed at the other had co-ordinated bedding with the feature wallpapered wall and was very comfortable. There was plentiful heating, excellent cooking facilities, including a kettle and biscuits and two chairs with a table between to eat at. The whole experience was great. The grounds are spectacular, especially with the different weather conditions we had during our stay. Frost, snow, rain and a fine day. Walking along the edge of Loch Lomond was very peaceful and thought provoking. Simply an amazing place to stay and a great find. The staff were very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. We would happily go back again.

Great location, well appointed lodges and great service from all of the team we’ve dealt with so far. Booking was easy, went smoothly and everything exactly as described. Nice and peaceful, comfortable bed (and pillows) and great quality bed linen. All helps for a great nights sleep!
